Job Listing: ORCHESTRA JOB OPENINGS CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS I.S.D.-HOUSTON, TX
Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D., a suburb of Houston, is seeking applicants for
full-time orchestra positions. Cypress-Fairbanks is one of the fastest
growing school districts in the nation and the third largest school
district in Texas. The district is well-known for their strong academic
and music programs. Numerous music organizations from Cypress-Fairbanks
have been recognized on both the state and national level for
outstanding accomplishments. Cypress-Fairbanks is located on the
northwest side of Houston. It is close to the world class Houston arts
community that includes both the Houston Symphony and Houston Grand
Opera. Cypress-Fairbanks offers a highly supportive atmosphere for music
teachers where schools have state of the art facilities for rehearsing
and performing. Orchestra programs are well equipped with instruments,
equipment, and uniforms, as well as supply, travel, repair, and
consultant budgets. Secondary schools in Cypress-Fairbanks are on
traditional seven period schedules; orchestra classes meet on a daily
basis for at least 45 minutes. We support music teachers attending state
conferences and have an incentive program that encourages continuing
professional development. In addition, the district has a strong
mentoring program for new teachers. Cypress-Fairbanks is seeking
experienced applicants for the orchestra director position at Cypress
Ranch High School. Due to our growing programs, we are also adding
several middle school orchestra positions throughout the district.
