Dalton Potter, owner of Potter' s
Violins in Bethesda, Maryland, donates six Rudolf Doetsch instruments
annually to students in need. Three instruments-violins, violas, or
cellos of any size-are awarded each round. Application deadlines are
April 1 and October 1 each year. Applications are accepted on behalf of
students (elementary through high school), from ASTA members who outline
their particular worthiness and promise as string students.
