ASTA PRESENTS NEW ONLINE STRINGS ADVOCACY RESOURCE CENTER

Fairfax, Va. – Music enthusiasts and advocates will not want to miss this brand new music advocacy resource available online at www.astaweb.com/AdvocacyResourceCenter.htm.

The highlight of the ASTA Advocacy Resource Center is a customizable PowerPoint presentation, SOS: SUPPORT OUR STRINGS.  This presentation is available for download and contains many facts, graphs, and research that shows just how important music, particularly strings, education is in schools today.  Instructions on how to use SOS to its full potential are also available for download.

The Advocacy Resource Center also contains a set of ASTA approved talking points that will add clout to any presentation.  Other available documents guide advocates on issues such as giving a powerful speech and writing effective letters-to-the-editor.  These new tools will prove invaluable to music advocates everywhere.

Please visit www.astaweb.com/AdvocacyResourceCenter.htm to download these and other documents today.

The American String Teachers Association is committed to advancing string education and performance in the United States and around the world.  Its 11,500 members include educators, performers, string industry representatives, students, and string enthusiasts.
