Keith Klosky
Mr. Klosky is the String Coordinator
for the Community School of the Arts at the University of Arkansas at
Little Rock. He has held the position for three years, during
which time the string student enrollment has risen from twenty-two to
seventy. During his tenure, he has initiated an ensemble program
which encompasses five separate groups, from beginning, intermediate and
advanced, to quartet and fiddle circle.
Mr. Klosky is familiar with the ASTACAP Program and is in the
preliminary stage of initiating the program in Arkansas.
Mr. Klosky holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Arkansas at
Little Rock and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida State
University. He participated as a violist in the UALR Community
Orchestra for seven years and has performed in various ensembles in Arkansas. He is
currently the violinist for the Arkansas County Dance Society’s
English Dance Program.
The primary focus of Mr.
Klosky’s teaching and adjudicating is to encourage students to
continually take that next step in reaching their personal goal of
music making, regardless of
age or ability.
