ImageMr. Klosky is the String Coordinator for the Community School of the Arts at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  He has held the position for three years, during which time the string student enrollment has risen from twenty-two to seventy.  During his tenure, he has initiated an ensemble program which encompasses five separate groups, from beginning, intermediate and advanced, to quartet and fiddle circle.

Mr. Klosky is familiar with the ASTACAP Program and is in the preliminary stage of initiating the program in Arkansas.

Mr. Klosky holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida State University.  He participated as a violist in the UALR Community Orchestra for seven years and has performed in various ensembles in Arkansas.  He is currently the violinist for the Arkansas County Dance Society’s English Dance Program.

The primary focus of Mr. Klosky’s teaching and adjudicating is to encourage students to continually take that next step in reaching their personal goal of music making, regardless of age or ability.
