Solo Adjudication and ASTACAP Trained
As a new member benefit, ASTA has
created a special pre-conference session that is designed to prepare
ASTA members to adjudicate at festivals, competitions and ASTACAP exams.
This workshop includes an overview of ASTACAP and the adjudication
process; checklist for preparing for exams and adjudications; tips on
providing constructive and meaningful comments to students; and a
hands-on mock exam that demonstrates the adjudication process and
included small group discussions on assessment. All members who complete
the session, can have their photos, biographies, and contact information
placed on this special page on the ASTA website. This site can be
accessed by schools, organizations, camps and others looking for string
educators to assist with their program.
The next session will be
offered at the 2011 ASTA National Conference in Kansas City, Missouri on
Wednesday, March 16 from 12pm-5pm. Cost will be $59 for members,
$79 for non members. Register for conference and do not forget to add
this great pre-conference workshop!
