Professional($99/year)
Open to all string teachers, performers, and supporters of the string
community. Professional members receive all benefits including the
ability to vote and elect national officers.
Senior($70/year)
Open to those members who are 62 or older. Senior members enjoy all of
the benefits of Professional membership at a reduced rate.
Dual($138/year)
Open to all Professional couples residing at the same address. One
membership fee covers both Professional memberships; however, only one
copy of the American String Teacher journal is received per
household.
Student($35/year) Online AST journal access
only
Open to full-time students. Students receive all member benefits except
the ability to vote and elect national officers and will not receive a
copy of the American String Teacher journal. If a student would
like to receive the journal, they may pay a membership fee of $50 per
year. To qualify under this category, students must provide date of
birth, anticipated graduation date, and proof of full-time enrollment.
(Proof can include school ID cards, copy of class schedule,
birth certificate, etc.)
Student($50/year) Printed AST journal
Open to full-time students. Students receive all member benefits except
the ability to vote and elect national and state officers. To
qualify under this category, students must provide date of birth,
anticipated graduation date, and proof of full-time enrollment.

Subscriptions($82/year)
Open to libraries and organizations who only wish to receive the
American String Teacher journal quarterly.
