Support ASTA

ASTA is committed to enhancing the future of string teaching and playing. To accomplish this, ASTA has created a division to administer all grants, awards, and competitions. It advances string education and performance throughout the U.S. by sponsoring a variety of programs and projects for students, teachers, performers, and string industry professionals.

You can help support ASTA and the future of string teaching and playing in several ways:

Make a Gift - ASTA appreciates donations at all levels of giving. We have several philanthropic options open to our donors, including one-time gifts, recurring gifts, pledges, memorial gifts, and special funds.

Planned Giving - Members and other philanthropists can play an important role in the mission and future of ASTA by including the association in their estate plans.

Affinity Shopping - ASTA has teamed up with Amazon.com for your shopping enjoyment. For every purchase you make through our website on Amazon (click the link to the left), ASTA receives 5% of your contribution. Purchases must be made through the ASTA website for items to qualify. Every gift makes a difference!

Member Benefits

"Of all the music organizations I belong to, ASTA feels most like 'home' because it satisfies the most needs" - Judy Palac

"I joined ASTA as soon as I graduated from Eastman School of Music in 1969. I have found my membership to be an incredible source of inspiration, motivation and string community connections. I joined because I felt it was my responsibility as a teacher to be the very best at my craft. As I am retired now, I still have the fire instilled in me throughout my teaching career. My favorite ASTA moments were many...taking part in the OHIO State String Workshops were highlights, also the first ASTA Conference, my acceptance of my orchestra to be in the National Orchestra Festival" -  Andrea Tolmich
