Chapter Roster Lists
Chapter rosters (in Excel format or adhesive mailing labels) may be requested from the national office and are provided free of charge to state chapters. Because renewals are processed daily, member contact information changes constantly. We highly encourage chapters to request an updated roster every time they publish a newsletter or send a mailing. Contact Tami O'Brien at 703-279-2113 or tami@astaweb.com
to request a roster.

Commercial General Liability Insurance Election
It is important to ensure that appropriate liability insurance is taken out for all state events. The national office has taken out a $1 million general liability policy for the state chapters that choose to opt in. This policy is also an underlying policy on ASTA’s Umbrella Liability Policy. Questions regarding this general liability policy, along with requests for a certificate of liability insurance, should be directed to:

Maureen Martin, AAI, Account Manager
Merz-Huber Co.
630 Fairview Road
Swarthmore, PA 19081
(610) 544-2323
(610) 544-8286 (fax)
commercial@merzhuber.com

Because insurance policies and issues vary greatly among states and events, please understand that the national office is unable to advise state chapters on specific insurance issues. State chapters MUST contact Maureen Martin at Merz-Huber. When requesting a certificate of liability insurance, be prepared to provide the following information: name of event, date(s) of event, venue name and address, contact name, address, and email address, and a summary of activities. Please allow 7 to 10 business days when requesting a certificate of liability insurance.

To include your chapter in the ASTA liability policy, please download the form HERE, complete it, and submit it to the National Office by December 31 each year.

Exemption from Federal Income Tax Under Section 501(c)(3)
The IRS requires that the American String Teachers Association, Inc., annually update the subordinates information for those chapters choosing to be included in the 501(c)(3) group exemption. In an effort to provide the most up-to-date information to the IRS, please complete the following two lines.
